Finance Manager

to join their team in their UK headquarters based in Long Marston, CV37.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that financial processes and controls are operating over all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, systems, compliance, and business transactions. You'll work under the management of the Financial Controller, and manage the finance team.

  • £45,000 - £50,000 pa
  • 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working (3 office days and 2 WFH)
  • Office based in Long Marston, CV37 8AQ

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with financial controller to ensure the business strives for excellence in financial operations
  • Ensure UK policies and procedures are in line and compliant with group policies and procedures
  • Manage accounting and systems issues as necessary
  • Take a leading role in ensuring smooth and efficient audits with external auditing partner Deloitte
  • Lead on internal audits
  • Ensure tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset compliance, ensuring CER policies are adhered to and the turnaround time for CER sign-off is timely to support the business operations
  • Ensure that the leasing system is up to date and the IFRS16 accounting entries understood
  • Preparation of UK Finance Board Papers
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts (in conjunction with finance business partnering team
  • Ensure that month end control file is properly prepared, reviewed and signed off reconciliation preparation / review
  • Ensure that all group reporting to Group Finance office is accurate and timely
  • Assist the Company Secretary with the management of the pensions and insurance requirements of the business.

Key Criteria

  • Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience
  • Experience in dealing with financial accounting issues such as statutory accounts, tax, auditors, compliance, and reporting
  • Experience in a B2B environment, foreign exports, and foreign currency hedging would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a SOX style control environment would be beneficial
  • MS Excel skills are essential
  • Experience using Navison would be beneficial
