About the Role
As a Construction & Engineering Associate, you will be an integral part of a high-calibre team, led by Legal-500 ranked lawyers. You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and Assist: Take charge of a wide range of construction transactions and provide crucial support where needed
- Draft Contracts: Create and review a variety of construction contracts and relevant documents
- Handle Claims: Manage claims in the TCC and MCOL, as well as adjudications, enforcement actions, and Part 8 claims
- Client Interaction: Advise clients, draft correspondence, and build strong professional relationships
- Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest developments in construction law
- Work Flexibly: Enjoy the flexibility of working from any of our national offices or remotely
Who We're Looking For
- Experience: 1-4 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a Top 200 firm
- Proactive and Organised: Ability to manage a varied construction caseload with efficiency and initiative
- Commercially Aware: Strong negotiating skills and a deep understanding of commercial considerations
- Communicative: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
