Our client is a highly profitable and ambitious financial service business that has grown from scratch to c.£400m annual sales and over 600 head office staff, servicing over £30bn of assets under management and 20% of the UK financial adviser marker in approx. 17 years since inception. Its cutting-edge Technology function and people have grown and progressed with the company, now a team of c.50 developing robust and secure applications used internally and by its B2B and B2C customers throughout the UK. The company is on the next stage of its phenomenal journey and we're now looking to help further strengthen the DevOps team, by appointing a first-rate DevOps Engineer.

You will play a key team role in ensuring continuous delivery, integration and maintaining of infrastructure for software development in Private Cloud and Azure environments. Your key responsibilities as DevOps Engineer will include:

  • Managing deployment infrastructure in Private Cloud and Azure environments
  • Collaborating with software development teams to ensure reliable application deployment
  • Designing and monitor cloud resources
  • Troubleshoot and fix infrastructure issues - security, patching, access control
  • Providing technical support to development teams.
  • Build automation and continuous delivery processes
  • Server, application and network configuration and administration

As DevOps Engineer you'll offer:

  • Previous experience in a similar DevOps Engineer role with an Agile, DevOps approach
  • Proficiency in coding, code reading, analysis an adaptation
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Curious, intuitive and a logical mindset
  • Advantageous skills/knowledge: cloud certification, preferably Azure, Azure DevOps, Powershell, Windows Server administration, including, DHCP, DNS, and file sharing services, Virtualization, VMWare

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Salary £25,000 to £35,000 + bonus (£6k) + pension + benefits
