Join a vibrant global events company dedicated to transforming the education technology landscape! We are looking for a skilled Operations Manager to help deliver outstanding events that connect and inspire the education community.

In this exciting position, you will oversee the operational execution of a diverse range of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and exceeds expectations. You will work closely with the operations team, contributing to event budgets and plans, and will need to be onsite during events to manage logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and manage all operational and logistical aspects of events, adhering to the highest standards and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to monitor event budgets, keeping expenses in check while striving for optimal profit margins.
  • Assist the Client Engagement team in fulfilling sponsorship requirements by sourcing competitive quotes and managing supplier relationships.
  • Provide operational insights and support to various teams, including sales, content, and marketing.
  • Coordinate floorplan layouts to meet venue and authority regulations and align with exhibition strategies.
  • Mentor and develop the operations coordinator to ensure peak performance and effective teamwork.
  • Uphold rigorous health and safety standards at all events, driving a culture of best practices.
  • Ensure excellent customer service experiences for all clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and build of feature areas, ensuring adherence to specifications and budget constraints.

Valued Skills:

Minimum 2 years' experience in the same if not similar role

  • Established experience in Operations, particularly within large international exhibitions and high-profile conferences.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Authentic and empathetic customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to locations in the UK and internationally.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £20.50, equivalent to an annual salary of £40,000.
  • 12-month temporary position, starting as soon as possible.
