About the Business

Main Duties:

As an Commercial Analyst- - Cost and Pricing your main duties include:

  • Develop and maintain advanced cost models to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Work with the Business Development Executive and Sales Teams to provide accurate cost insights during the pre-sales phase.
  • Create detailed commercial models to evaluate the financial viability of potential contracts and services.
  • Estimate costs for proposed services, considering labour, materials, overheads, and other expenses.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with costs, offering recommendations to mitigate financial risks and enhance profitability.
  • Research and analyse competitor pricing strategies to stay competitive while maintaining profitability.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data used in cost analysis by working closely with relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and present clear, data-driven reports to key stakeholders for informed decision-making.

Location / Office / Culture

The office is near Birmingham City Centre and is modern and stylish. This role is hybrid and offers 3 days in the office and the rest at home. You'll be working alongside a large supportive team of around 70 with bright and talented people.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Preferred commercial accounts experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled user of Microsoft packages, encompassing Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
