Delivery Manager

This role will initially be a 23-month fixed-term contract and based in our Manchester office where we offer a hybrid-approach to working.

What you'll do as a Delivery Manager

  • build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well
  • identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them
  • focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services
  • encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
  • coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques
  • work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider technology team to record, track and manage delivery of their tasks for established services
  • create, develop and maintain project plans and appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling
  • ensure that working practices are iterated to achieve effective delivery, solve issues and unblock problems
  • work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects successfully
  • provide data to help report on programmes to senior colleagues

What we're looking for

  • demonstrable experience and knowledge of using agile methodologies and practices to deliver large-scale digital products, services or projects
  • experience of using agile practices to support team to clearly communicate delivery progress, and enable a continuous approach to planning, forecasting estimating and managing uncertainty
  • experience of identifying problems or issues and helping to rectify them
  • good stakeholder management skills, co-ordinating across various groups to create an agreed joined up approach to migration of services
  • experience of the continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road-mapping
  • experience of managing multiple projects within a digital environment
