Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and progress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals, to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Special Needs Teacher, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- In-depth understanding of SEND best practices, strategies, and interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational research and practices.
