Interim Finance Assistant | PE-Backed SaaS Scale-Up | Remote
The client
Harmonic are delighted to working exclusively with a fast scaling, PE Backed SaaS business who are disrupting their market. Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant (AP/AR) to start immediately and support their finance team as they come into a period of high workload. Our client has raised in excess of £150m, initially through Venture Capital but more recently through Private Equity.
Backed by an elite Private Equity firm, our clients B2B software is applicable across all industries and their platform offers a wide range of tools and services. Their current clients include market leaders and there is still significant room for expansion. With revenue exceeding £50m and 20% YOY growth, they have focused heavily on introducing metrics and KPI's to better track their recurring revenue.
The Role
Working alongside an experienced Senior Finance Assistant, with exposure the Management Accountants, Financial Controller, and Finance Director, this role will be heavily focussed around managing the Accounts Receivables and Accounts payable for the client. As an international Scale-Up business, there will be a requirement to work across a number of regions including the UK, APAC, and South Africa. Initially a 4-month day rate contract, there is the potential for it to transfer to a permanent position at the conclusion of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable including Banks, Expensify, Spendesk, and credit cards.
- Accounts Receivable in the UK and South Africa.
- Day to day management of the inbox.
- South Africa reconciliations.
- Management of customers and vendors.
- Preparing Payment runs.
Essential skills
- 1-4 years' experience in a similar role.
- Able to hit the ground running.
- Ability to partner with other members of the finance team and across the business.
- Self-starter and astute problem solver.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to effectively manage upwards.
- Immediately available or on short notice.
Bonus Experience
- Experience using NetSuite is strongly preferred as they have just moved onto the platform.
- Experience within a SaaS, Software, AI, or fast growth scale-up business is preferred but not essential.
Day Rate: £150-£200/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote
Start date: ASAP
Contract Length: 4 Months (potential permanent thereafter)
