We are looking for an experienced Civils Lead / Ganger in Wiltshire.
Reporting to the Civils Manager, you will oversee teams of 2-3 civils operatives and support the smooth running of the works while maintaining high H&S standards.
You will have strong people skills and be ready to get involved in whatever your team needs. You will also have problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the desire and passion to lead a team and promote company values.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing a team of 2-3 operatives.
- Report daily activity and completions.
- Drive & Operate excavation machinery and equipment.
- Identify potential issues and provide solutions.
- Ensuring that machinery is maintained.
- Work within Health and Safety requirements.
- Provide training for new team members.
The Ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years of industry (telecoms or Utilities) experience.
- Effective Leadership and Communications Skills.
- Self-motivated, and able to motivate others effectively.
- NRSWA Accreditation
- CSCS Card
- Experienced in using plant and machinery with relevant tickets
- Digger Ticket.
- Prior experience working across multiple terrains.
- Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points)
