Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer/Senior Civil Technician to join our team. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in managing and delivering various civil and infrastructure projects. This position requires a candidate with a strong client-facing background, exceptional project management skills, and extensive experience in highway and drainage design.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with architects and clients to assess project requirements and provide technical expertise in civil and infrastructure engineering
  • Manage own workload and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Review and check calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports produced by other team members
  • Utilize expertise in highway and drainage design with a thorough understanding of UK design standards
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Autotrack Site 3D, MicroDrainage, and Flow for project design and analysis
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction works, ensuring compliance with specifications
  • Familiarity with Highway Authority Sections 38, 278, Water Authority Sections 102, 104, 106, 116, and 185
  • Prepare engineering reports for planning applications such as Flood Risk Assessments, Utility Assessments, and Site Viability assessments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (not essential)
  • Proven experience working in development sectors, particularly in residential, commercial, and industrial developments
  • Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Autotrack Site 3D, MicroDrainage, and Flow

Day-to-day

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with architects and clients, manage multiple projects, conduct site visits, and ensure project compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and checking project documentation, preparing reports for planning applications, and maintaining a high level of communication with stakeholders.
