Key Aspects of the Role:
- Offer personalised 1:1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs, adapting teaching techniques to foster their confidence and independence.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to plan and deliver activities, and support pupils during transitions and daily routines.
- Help pupils regulate their behaviour and emotions, encouraging positive interactions and social skills.
- Contribute to formal SEND assessments while sharing valuable insights with families and home schools.
- Work alongside other teaching assistants, teachers, and support staff.
