Warehouse Operative

As an Operations you will report to the Operations Supervisor. Your duties will include picking, packing and dispatching orders, building stock and processing goods in, as well as contributing to general housekeeping such as tidying the warehouse and cleaning machinery.

We are looking for a motivated, mature, enthusiastic person who takes pride in completing their work correctly and accurately first time round, who can work within a team but also take direction and complete tasks under their own steam.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record in work requiring attention to detail, be motivated to give work their best every day and be a friendly, cheerful member of the Triple E team.

Education: Minimum of grade C or 4 in GCSE Maths and English.

Salary: £20k-£24k depending on experience.

Hours: Monday -Friday 8:00-4:30, 20 days holiday and bank holidays, company pension scheme and company bonus scheme.

Skills: Clean, full UK driving license, Forklift license or experience

  • To be a key member of the Operations Team collaborating with all other departments to ensure that all sales and projects are efficiently and effectively completed. This may include:
  • Building and bagging of stock.
  • Picking and packing of the sales order and preparing them for delivery or pickup according to an order.
  • To assist with the build and packaging of special projects.
  • To assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
  • To assist with stock takes.
  • To follow all operational procedures and reporting any operational issues or suggestions for improvement to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Ensure all spaces in the Warehouse are kept neat and tidy.
  • Follow all PPE requirements and be aware of PPE requirements in the Warehouse and report any Health and Safety issues to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Use stock management program (Sage) to record stock allocations, stock transfers and other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience using hand tools, fixings, and fastenings.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using relevant software, including MS Office suite
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive operational improvements
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and decision-making
