About the Financial Technology News company:

Our client are the world's largest financial technology news company, providing fintech news, events and research to the fintech community, connecting over 500,000 professionals a month to support growth and innovation in this space. They seek an experienced Events Manager to join their team.

The Events Manager:

The Events Manager will cover all areas of Event logistics and delivery, focusing on the operational delivery of digital, hybrid and face to face events, in the format of in person events and roundtables.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an event project plan for each project, adhering to scheduling and deadlines, and running regular project meetings
  • Responsible for updating information and content on the event microsite
  • Prepare and publish/produce exhibitor manuals, and commercial sales documents for events, either online or as a printed document
  • Supervise the design and execution of advertisements and all other marketing activity promoting entry or attendance for each event
  • Supervise the design and production of all other printed material relating to each project
  • Sourcing, negotiating with and managing suppliers
  • Responsible for tracking and managing all deadlines around sponsor event deliverables
  • Handling all communication with sponsors
  • Overseeing all contract deliverables for sponsorship packages
  • Working closely with the sponsorship team to develop sponsor inventory for each event

About the Events Manager:

  • Evidence of running live international B2B events, preferably commercial conferences
  • Evidence of managing event budgets and a thorough understanding of the financial impact of events, with the ability to drive revenue
  • A strong understanding of events production, supplier liaison and all relevant processes
  • The ability to self-manage projects and plan event timelines
  • The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to attend events occurring outside of normal work hours
