Every day, Counter Terrorism (CT) officers call on our specialist fleet of vehicles in the course of their work. To make sure they get high quality vehicles at the right time, we need a Vehicle Replacement Programme Manager. Used to providing outstanding support services? Join us and play your part in protecting the country.

As a Vehicle Replacement Programme Manager, your main task will be to deliver the Capital Vehicle Replacement Programme for Counter Terrorism (CT) and Protective Security Grant-funded (PSG) vehicles. It means maintaining a database of all CT/PSG funded vehicles and mapping a five-year replacement programme, so vehicles are always primed and ready to roll.

We're looking for a skilled professional who can balance conflicting demands in a busy role. Day to day, you'll see that vehicles are inspected and reviewed to make sure we're getting good value. With five Resource Fleet Assistants to help you, you'll ensure each vehicle is kept in impeccable condition.

In effect, you'll be at the hub of the programme, building great relationships with service providers within the MPS Frontline Support Services. You'll also check that external partners meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), prepare business cases and coordinate strategic resource plans for vehicles.

With so many contacts, you must be a people person who can communicate clearly and manage expectations. It's equally important that you can manage quality business support services and understand procurement regulations. Above all, you'll need to share our dedication to keeping the UK safe. In return, you can expect a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, excellent career development, and a highly fulfilling role. Ready to manage a very special fleet?

Please note that you'll need a full UK driving licence.
