Business Analyst

At KCS the primary role of the Business Analyst is to analyse, capture and define product requirements in accordance with business priorities. The Business Analyst takes responsibility for both the scope and success criteria of new features that have been identified. New features could be market, customer, or project driven - with the Business Analyst working closely with the relevant stakeholders in each case.

Collaborative relationships will exist with the Product Owner and development teams to ensure that the requirements vision is engineered correctly, with Business Analyst approval

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Experience in working with different business partners and customer stakeholders, of varying seniority levels, to understand business needs as well as the commercial benefits any solution will bring to all parties
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP products for both SME and Enterprise level customers
  • Knowledge of the rental industry and relevant market verticals eg) Construction and events
  • Experience in working with Agile delivery and business teams (e.g. Scrum or Kanban etc.)
  • Experience in the decomposition of requirements (Initiative to Epic to Story), story pointing, backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies

  • The ability to solve problems and take decisive action within a highly complex ecosystem and within a global context
  • The ability to facilitate and clearly document and communicate product requirements effectively to all levels of business, delivery and customer stakeholders
  • The ability to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with all levels of business, delivery and customers stakeholders
  • The ability to present objectively with authority and confidence to senior levels of business, delivery and customer stakeholders
  • The ability to collaborate with technical teams in order to establish a vision, analysing trade offs between requirements, usability and performance
  • The ability to adapt to change in any periods of change/disruption
  • The ability to accurately prioritise, organise and plan their work and to seek continuous improvement to drive efficiencies in their product space
  • The ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously, tracking defined milestones against agreed timelines
  • The ability to critically analyse own work, and that of the wider team - providing constructive feedback within the wider team
