Handover Manager

looking for your next role? Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading company who specialise in providing solutions across the water, and wastewater industry.

You will report directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager and your role will be to manage the handover process / defects from the beginning of project conception to client handover, within the defects period while ensuring good customer satisfaction.

Here are some key responsibilities of a

Handover Manager

:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive handover plan outlining milestones and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams involved in the handover process.
  • Oversee the completion of handover activities such as inspections, documentation preparation, and training.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the successful handover.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on the handover status.
  • Track project progress & issue reports accordingly to senior management
  • Chair project documentation reviews with the project teams
  • Liaise with client representatives on a regular basis discussing progress & any upcoming issues
  • Ensuring that the BMS is implemented with regards to handover until final completion.

Essential

  • Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry
  • Experience dealing with documentation collation
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Experience in project delivery
  • Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
  • Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
  • Ability to present at MWHT Governance Reviews in a leading capacity
  • Risk & Opportunity Management experience
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety

Desirable

  • Experience in water and waste water treatment plants
  • Chartered with and engineering, commercial, or construction institution
  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation
