About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to cover maternity leave. The role requires a good team player who can make a difference with their experience, knowledge and is self driven and able to manage multiple work streams. They will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of providing HR support for varied situations. The role is a 6 month placement.
Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will support the People Partner in all aspects of:
- Providing coaching, guidance and advice on all People policies, procedures and employee relations
- Ensuring a fair and consistent approach that complies with employment law
- Collating, reporting and analysis of HR KPI's producing action plans to improve
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Managing long term absence, occupational health referrals, medical reports, flexible working, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave etc.
- Co-ordinating and managing recruitment, selection and induction processes
- Forge relationships with the Trade Union to ensure a positive and constructive working relationship
- Support the health and wellbeing of all colleagues
You will need
- CIPD full or part qualified
- Previous experience in a generalist role offering first line advice within a unionised environment essential.
- Able to prioritise, plan and organise a varied workload, with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Administrative experience with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Attending and supporting all shifts (including night shift) will be a requirement, therefore flexibility to working hours is essential.
