to join our clients team in a unique and exciting role within an educational setting.

This role is contracted to

49 weeks

a year; there may be temporary opportunities for you during term time on other sites.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts following traditional and modern recipes.
  • Create and design custom desserts and pastries for special events and daily offerings.
  • Develop new recipes and continuously improve existing ones to keep the menu exciting and fresh.
  • Monitor ingredients and supplies, ensuring inventory is maintained and orders are placed as needed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive menu and high-quality standards.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
  • Creative ability to design and decorate desserts and pastries.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Culinary school training or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
