Project Manger
The Role
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to our clients vibrant and expanding engineering team. You will be at the forefront of designing and developing state-of-the-art underwater products and defense projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver custom projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specified requirements.
- Develop and execute functional, environmental, and production test procedures to validate the integration of hardware, firmware, and software systems, and ensure comprehensive documentation of results.
- Proactively manage and mitigate project-related risks.
- Ensure all project activities comply with internal and external customer standards and procedures.
- Lead and contribute to thorough internal and external project reviews.
- Prepare, submit, and manage all necessary project documentation.
- Effectively manage customer engagement through regular communication and scheduled meetings as needed.
- Provide remote support for the installation and commissioning of new systems.
- Conduct detailed project closeout reviews to ensure all project goals are met and documented.
Due to the primary nature of the work they are looking for someone local to the Farnborough/Hampshire area, who can attend the office when needed, with most employees working on-site, however they can offer a range of flexibility depending on the candidate and situation.
Key Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field (BSc/BEng or equivalent).
- Certification in project management (APM PMQ, PRINCE 2, or an equivalent credential).
- A deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and its various phases.
- Proven experience in providing outstanding customer service and engaging with clients.
- Demonstrated capability to interact with senior-level stakeholders both within the company and externally.
- Extensive project management experience, particularly in roles requiring direct customer interaction and coordination across multiple departments.
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary project teams.
Security Clearance: The candidate must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for this position.
