Family Solutions Senior Social Worker
Oxfordshire County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Family Solutions team is looking for an Senior Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Family Solutions Senior Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Family Solutions Senior Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
- Ability to support Social Workers to undertake complex social work assessments
- Experience of formulating support, protection and care plans
- Ability to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinion
- Ability to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agencies
- Detailed knowledge of the Children's Act 1989
- Detailed knowledge of the "Framework for the Assessment of Children and Their Families"
- Attending court and giving evidence when required
- Initiating and implementing child protection plans
- Managing packages of care
- Undertaking parenting and risk assessments
Requirements / Experience preferred:
- Post qualifying experience of working as a Integrated Pathways Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
- HCPC Registration
- 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
