Our client, a prominent player in the Defence sector, are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for an 18-month contract based in Reading, working on a hybrid working pattern with a competitive rate Outside IR35.
This Commercial Manager role in Reading offers an excellent opportunity to impact commercial strategies within a dynamic Defence environment.
Being a senior leader within the Commercial department with involvement in all key commercial decisions, working closely with the Tech Director and their senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategy and solutions for the Tech Centre
- Act as the SCM commercial lead in all investment planning decisions
- Develop the Tech Centre pipeline of activity and coordinate with wider SCM teams
- Develop a Learning from Experience (LfE) strategy and maintain a register of forecast business improvements
- Identify risks and collaborate with the business to mitigate risks to the extent possible
- Ensure category strategies are implemented and embedded within the business
Key Requirements:
- Holds active SC or DV clearance
- Experience in commercial management, particularly within the supply chain sector
- Strong strategic planning and commercial solution skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to develop and implement Learning from Experience (LfE) strategies
