Business Support Officer

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join our team in Great Wenham, Suffolk. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week). The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £29,269 - £33,945 per annum (pro rata for part time).

We are looking for two Business Support Officers to join our new Housing Operations and (DLO) Direct Labour Organisation Team.

About the Business Support Officer role:

Reporting to the Customer and Business Support Manager - DLO, you will coordinate and provide business support to the Building Services DLO for the effective delivery of all associated works, closely working with operational staff, managers, contractors, partners and customers.

You will:

  • provide comprehensive and effective administration support to the Building Services DLO
  • process business information, including data, to ensure Building Services fully meets its business obligations
  • support with the collation of relevant service data and interpret and analyse where appropriate
  • respond to, and resolve where appropriate, telephone, face to face, e-mail and postal enquiries
  • compile letters, reports and spreadsheets
  • input data, maintaining manual and electronic records
  • take responsibility for document and data management, including confidential filing
  • raise and process work orders, purchase orders and invoices

What we are looking for in our Business Support Officer - Compliance:

You will be a highly effective administrator with extensive experience gained within a customer centric organisation. You will have gained NVQ 3 /ONC level or have equivalent knowledge gained through experience.

You will have :

  • GCSE in English and mathematics at grade C/4 or above
  • demonstrable business support and administration experience
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel (intermediate/advanced)
  • experience of gathering, analysing, and interpreting technical data
  • the ability to prioritise conflicting demands in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • experience of working within a repairs and maintenance environment is desirable, but not essential.
