Senior Maintenance Engineer
- Annual Salary: Up to £55,000 plus weekend on-call allowance

Our client is looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing site in Frampton on Severn. This role is crucial in overseeing the maintenance department and implementing a risk-based maintenance strategy to enhance performance and reliability of all plant and equipment, thereby reducing unplanned downtime. You will also be expected to lead a team of multi-skilled engineers and upskill and train production staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Control all aspects of the maintenance engineering department, delivering the objectives set by the site General Manager.
- Develop and implement the maintenance strategy for both sites, including routine, special, and stop period maintenance.
- Proactively develop and implement capital activities, exploring new technologies and industry developments to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with COMAH, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards within company procedures and legislative requirements.
- Identify areas for engineering improvement, maintaining equipment availability and reliability.
- Provide training to Operators in basic technical maintenance and contribute to ongoing training plans.
- Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, and plans, allocate resources efficiently, and adjust as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Core Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification from an apprenticeship, college, or university.
- Strong experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Experience in technical project management.
- Extensive experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Engineer within the food or FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
