Location: Waverley, South-East England

Salary: Up to £40 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting adults to live more independently? We're looking for a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join Adult Services in Waverley. This role focuses on delivering personalised occupational therapy interventions for adults facing a variety of physical, mental, and social challenges. You'll work closely with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to improve their quality of life and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each patient's needs, abilities, and environment. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on patient-centred goals.

Therapeutic Interventions: Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to help patients enhance their abilities in daily activities, promoting greater autonomy.

Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, and carers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home modifications to support daily living.

Progress Monitoring: Track and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.

Assistive Devices: Advise on and facilitate access to assistive devices and adaptive technology to support patient independence.

Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborative care planning sessions.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy and integrate new methods into your treatment approach.

About You

Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy and SWE/HCPC registration.

Experience: Proven experience working with adults in a social care or healthcare setting.

Skills: Strong assessment, planning, and therapeutic skills with a patient-centred approach.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate with a diverse range of professionals.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt treatment plans and techniques to meet the unique needs of each patient.
