We have a fantastic opportunity for a well-connected, engaging individual with excellent communications skills to join a smart and sustainable energy provider as their Community Engagement Manager.
The business believes in empowering its customers to take control of their energy use whilst reducing environmental impact by embracing renewable energy solutions.
The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for driving engagement and building strong community relationships within the Leicester area, working with communities to drive a greener future.
Reporting into the Regional Community Lead, the Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Regional Lead and Head of Community Marketing to deliver engagement strategies across your local community
- Building brand awareness and acting as a brand ambassador in the local area
- Running events & workshops to educate and inform people about renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and sustainable living
- Finding local initiatives, organisations and causes to support
- Establishing relationships with community groups, local authorities, schools and colleges
- Working closely with the community campaigns team to create and execute the local marketing plan
- Become the voice of the business within the local community, including speaker opportunities and online engagement via social media channels
- Attending local relevant networking events
We are looking for someone with experience of the following:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience hosting and speaking at events
- Experience creating and delivering marketing plans
- Experience building and maintaining a range of external networks and relationships in the local community
- A passion for sustainability and renewable energy
- Access to a car to enable travel between locations and to hold a clean, UK driving licence
