Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are currently working on behalf of a Steel forgings and castings Engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a CNC Machinist, specialising in CNC Turning.
CNC Machinist
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 3 shift rotation
Hourly Rate: £37,000
Overview of the role of a CNC Machinist:
- Operating and programming CNC machine tools
- Working to complex engineering drawings
- Machining large steel castings and forgings
- Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations
- Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in using both manual and CNC machines
- Extensive experience in CNC Turning
- Experience in heavy engineering
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
- Ability to write and understand CNC programs
- Experience of crane driving and slinging is highly desirable
