Future Resources Technical Lead

Salary: Circa £60,000 (dependent on skills & experience)
Position: Permanent, Full Time (37 Hours per week)
Location: Home-based, with occasional travel to Peterborough / Huntingdon offices for meetings, and for site visits/stakeholder meetings in Norfolk &/or Lincolnshire.

As part of our innovative Water Resources Management Plan 2024, we are spearheading ground-breaking projects in desalination to address long-term water demand.

Your Role:

As a Future Resources Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in steering these innovative projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical direction and oversight for the development of desalination options.
  • Producing tender scopes, reviewing, evaluating, and challenging proposals.
  • Reviewing and approving technical outputs to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
  • Leading steering groups and collaborating with international consultants and suppliers to incorporate best practices into our programme.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to drive sustainable and optimal solutions for desalination.

What You Bring:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and operations - ideally with experience/knowledge of desalination
  • A technical mindset, with an ability to solve problems, drive innovation and make decisions
  • A proactive self-starter attitude, and be motivated to make a difference
  • Experience in the UK water industry (beneficial, but not essential)
