Do you want to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation that works to provide housing and tenancy-related support to single people with Mental Health issues?

Our Mental Health Supported Living Service is looking for a Support Officer to join our dynamic team in Sittingbourne. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity.

You should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of issues people living with mental illness may experience. The service runs to empower residents and support them on their journey to independent living.

You'll actively and regularly engage with services in the local community, as well as working in partnership with families, and colleagues from the local CMHT and Adult Social Services, whilst working towards meeting the needs of customers as stated in their individual care needs assessments.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a working knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting individuals with a range of mental health and neurodivergent needs
  • Has a working knowledge of welfare benefits, budgeting, and social housing
  • Can be patient and communicate effectively with our customers whilst supporting them with dignity and respect
  • Understands housing management needs and health and safety compliance
  • Be responsible for ensuring our customers receive a high-quality supported living service, and work with them to achieve their identified support targets, engage in reviews and multi-agency meetings
  • Have great communication skills from the ability to interact with customers daily, write reports and emails, update internal records, liaise and signpost with a range of services and agencies within the community and maintain organisational and professional standards

A full training package will be provided to new members of our team to help them develop the skills to become a great support officer.
