About the Role:
- Position: SEN Teacher
- Location: SEN School, St Helens
- Start Date: September
- Contract: Full-time, long-term
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for students, focusing on their specific learning requirements.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to creating a positive and effective learning environment.
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
