Credit Control Manager

- Salary: Between £38,000 - £43,000 per annum.
We are seeking a Credit Control Manager to join a growing team in Bristol!
This role is crucial for ensuring financial reporting aligns with best practice procedures and client requirements, delivering accurate and timely results, including period-end reporting and continuous improvement of accounting services.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Lead and manage a team, including training, and performance management.
- Maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring adherence to specific KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies for the Credit Control function to best serve client needs.
- Produce detailed reporting, including Collection Statistics by region and sector.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and Statutory Demands.
- Provide clients with recommendations to protect their interests while recovering balances.
- Manage timely collection of all debts.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to chase payment of outstanding debts until a settlement is received.
- Resolve queries or disputes in collaboration with client accounting colleagues.
- Update information on the database, including contact details, arrears notes, and payment information.
- Assist the cashiering team in the correct allocation of monies received and reduce unallocated cash.
- Issue demands, credits, and any supporting documentation as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A professional and organised approach to work.
- A positive and helpful attitude within a team environment.
- Very experienced with managing a successful team.
- Previous credit control experience is essential.
