Be part of the trade settlements team who handle the settlement of loan trades with various currencies and amounts to ensure trade proceeds are completed within funding timelines in a fast-paced environment. The team processes transactions for the Distressed Products Group which deal with Settlement of Trades in the secondary loans trading market, Claims, Restructures as well as Loan Servicing.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day loan activities including but not limited to manual general ledger entries, manual cashflows/manual funds flows, secondary trade processing etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all operational requirements are met prior to booking/settlement of trade/loan transactions in LoanIQ system in a timely manner
  • Be involved in conducting operational review of trade and loan related documentation and support the Banks initiatives to meet strategic goals including process automation/ straight through processing/ control initiatives
  • Identify and escalate open issues to team manager
  • Provide written commentary on outstanding open issues
  • Understand business and regulatory requirements and ensure functions are being performed in those requirements

Your skills and experience

  • Expertise in Loan IQ system and thorough knowledge on wires, nostros and fund flow between various departments and have hands on experience in at least one of the areas such as Deal Origination, Trading and Settlement, Docs management, Processing and Loan Controls
  • Candidate should have the clear understanding of 'Delayed Compensation' and 'Cost of Carry' if trading is not completed within LMA guidelines
  • Ability to read and understand legal documents such as credit agreements, amendment documentation, trade settlement documents and loan servicing notices
  • Strong problem solving and/or analytical skills under tight deadlines and stress induced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced investment banking operations environment
  • Proficiency in financial applications, mathematics/analysis would be beneficial
