Production Accountant (12m FTC), Central London - £45,000-50,000 FTE (0.6 hours)
We are working with a performing arts organisation to find a part time Production Accountant who can work on their award-winning show for the upcoming tour. Ideally, candidates will be immediately available or keen to start in June and work until the show's end date in 2025. You will be an experience Production/Project Accountant who has experience in the industry and are excited by working in a creative space. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the production accountant will work closely with producers and directors to pull together financial information for the show.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership and production of monthly project reporting for the show
- Working with the scheduling and billing system to plan and schedule project resourcing.
- Review production activity and account for monthly revenue, gross profit and margin by project.
- Ensure timely revenue recognition.
- Ensure 3rd party spend on projects is approved in line with authorised quotes.
- Management of project invoicing in conjunction with producers and client finance contacts to ensure billing is up to date and in line with agreements and milestones.
- Variance analysis and commentary of actual performance against forecast by project.
- Ability to prepare analysis for meetings with key stakeholders
- Develop strong working relationships with producers to prepare and update project forecasts.
- Preparation of ad hoc costings as required.
Key Competencies:
- Previous experience in project/production accounting roles
- Experience of scheduling / project billings systems
- Proficient in Excel to pivot / vlookup / sumif functions
- Good written and verbal communication skills, working across finance
