We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate complex care support workers to join our new support package providing care and support to a 28 year old young lady who has an acquired brain injury with complex care needs. The client is wheelchair dependant and non-verbal.
The client's care will be based in her family home, where she has a purpose built living and therapy area. You will be offering support with personal care, therapy exercises and activities and accompanying the client to appointments as requested. The client will be leaving college and your role will involve working with the family and therapy team to set up a structured timetable of activities including hydrotherapy, gardening, music therapy, arts and crafts in the home environment.
You will be supporting the client to enjoy a fun and structured day, including all the female things young ladies like to do.
The role requires sensitivity to the client's needs (and those of her family) hence past experience in complex needs is required along with peg feeding and administering medication.
It will be the role of the support worker to also complete daily notes and to keep the clients living areas clean and tidy.
Hours of work:
32 hours per week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 10.00am – 6.00pm.
Rate of pay:
£16.00 per hour Weekday hours
£17.50 per weekend hours
Applicants must have a full driving licence and will be expected to drive the clients vehicle.
This is a non-smoking/vaping work environment.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required,.
Practical and online training will be required to be completed prior to employment commencing.
