We are currently seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our client's team in Glasgow City Centre. The role involves carrying out cash collection and reducing aged debt of accounts, ensuring all debt is collected in accordance with credit terms, and resolving customer queries promptly. The successful candidate will provide accurate and efficient support to the Credit Control Team Leader.

Day to day of the role:

  • Achieve monthly cash targets and liaise with customers for payment of due or overdue invoices.
  • Discuss and reconcile overdue invoices with customers to identify non-payment reasons or obtain query details.
  • Work with customers to find solutions for repeated late payments or queries.
  • Prioritise and manage own workload, taking responsibility for ledger.
  • Liaise with internal customers to ensure prompt task completion, reducing aged debt and overdue invoices.
  • Resolve payment allocation differences with customers and review or escalate accounts not adhering to deadlines and terms.
  • Complete weekly overtrading and unallocated cash reports.
  • Identify changes in customer payment patterns that may indicate risk.
  • Assist other team members as required, such as month-end allocations and setting up customer reports.
  • Ensure customer details are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to liaise across multiple international locations.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and computer literate.
  • Self-starter with excellent administration skills and a positive attitude.
