This City based US law firm is looking to hire a newly created Events Specialist position on a permanent basis to run their annual events calendar.

Salary of up to £50,000 is on offer plus fantastic benefits

Agile working and are currently working at a 60:40 office/home split

The Events Specialist will report into the BD Director be required to plan, produce and execute quality events, working collaboratively with the London Business Development & Marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing Events Manager or Senior Events Executive currently working in a law firm to build on their experience and lead on a range of internal and external high profile events.

The Events Specialist Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the development and execution of client and large internal events and webinars.
  • Work closely with the business development & marketing team, as well as with partners and lawyers.
  • Develop and manage the London events budget in collaboration with the BD Director as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with departmental lawyers and business development teams to develop and continually refine best practices and standards across the firm for both in-person and virtual events.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement technical tools to support and enhance events.
  • Establish, monitor, manage and report on performance expectations for events and meetings.
  • Handle multiple events/meetings simultaneously.
  • Set up event schedules and plans, organise and ship materials, and develop transportation itineraries.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with office resources and internal support teams (e.g. facilities, audio/visual, travel, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the business development leads on the creation and distribution of promotional pieces and other printed materials

The Events Specialist will have a minimum of 5 years Events experience, currently working in a law firm.

Additionally candidates will be degree educated, possess excellent written, communication and organisational skills, in addition to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office.

Standard hours are 9.30am - 5.30pm, however candidates need to be flexible around Events.
