Overview
My client, a leading world-wide supplier of a niche product is currently looking for an experienced, immediately available Accountant to join their accounts function. The office and site of production is based in north Birmingham surrounding the industrial heart of the city. This stable and forward-thinking business is providing an excellent opportunity for a candidate at assistant level to get wider exposure at month end and in forecasting processes.
The successful candidate will be working with senior management to evaluate and improve processes in the finance team, and assisting with the P&L review. It will be your responsibility to prepare the month end accounts, accruals and prepayments, maintain the fixed asset register and reconcile the P&L.
Skills Needed
- Be based locally to North Birmingham and ideally immediately available or on a short notice.
- Have experience in preparing accruals, prepayments and the fixed assets register.
- Be looking for a steady role in which you can study and progress as the business need develops.
- Excel in the use of spreadsheets, confident in your ability to implement pivot tables.
