We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team within the beautiful Gardens that our business is set with in.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administration and coordination tasks, supporting in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, visitor areas, and staff and volunteer management.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Efficiently and accurately manage general administrative tasks including membership records, room and group bookings, visitor data, stock levels, financial records, and health and safety documentation.
  • Oversee the admission and shop area, ensuring a high standard of presentation and operation.
  • Take responsibility for local marketing initiatives, working closely with the marketing department and external P.R. company.
  • Maintain and communicate with staff and volunteer contact lists to foster strong relationships.
  • Provide administrative support for the opening of the Gardens to the public, including income handling and stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Adhere to and promote the organisation's policies, including Health and Safety and equal opportunities.
  • Undertake additional duties as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative roles and working with volunteers.
  • Experience dealing with the public in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Team player with a responsible approach to procedures such as cash handling and Health and Safety.
  • Relevant professional training (e.g., business administration, horticulture, volunteer management).
  • Active interest in gardens, gardening, or visitor attractions.
  • Flexibility in working arrangements.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £24,000 pro rata.
  • Part-time hours: 26 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday, 9am – 4pm.
