A local charity in Carlton, Bedfordshire, is looking for a dedicated weekend Cook/Chef to join their team on a temporary basis in their Bistro.
Weekend Cook/Chef
- Location: Carlton, Bedfordshire
- Job Type: Part-time, Temporary - Saturday and Sunday
- Working hours 8.30am - 4.30pm
Role:
- Prepare, cook, and assist in serving breakfast
- Cater to a variety of tastes to include hot or cold sausage rolls as well as other pastries, filled croissants, filled baguettes, hot soup and roll, plus many delicious cakes, tea & coffee. We cater for gluten free & vegan.
- Ensure the dining and kitchen areas are clean by wiping down tables, assisting with washing up, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.
- Work collaboratively with another staff member to provide a pleasant dining experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to prepare and cook meals for many people.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Good organisational skills to manage the preparation and serving of two main meals.
- A basic DBS check will be required to start this role.
