- Working hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Salary: £35,000 per annum,
Our client is looking for a buyer to join their wider procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager, within the Centre of Excellence Team, supporting primarily on:
- Bids - leading on obtaining competitive supplier pricing, working closely with the Procurement Category and Sourcing Teams and Bid Pricing Teams.
- Mobilisations - Supporting pricing validation as well as supplier onboarding activities to ensure suppliers can be appropriately vetted and loaded onto the systems, ready to be deployed in time for the go live of a new client.
The buyer will support a range of activities including the gathering of spending, volume and service needs data in preparation for sourcing activities. You will negotiate and influence suppliers to achieve the best market rate. It will be your responsibility to manage and support a wide range of internal stakeholders, supporting the development of annual targets and goals for cost, quality, reliability and delivery. You will work cross-functionally with other departments and internal stakeholders, managing relationships and internal colleagues.
What you'll need to succeed
- 2-3 years of procurement experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
- Accountable and dedicated to your work and the wider business goals.
- A clear track record of stakeholder management
- CIPS qualification is desirable
