Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Waltham Forest, rated Good by Ofsted. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for students with SEN.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: SEN School - Crawley
Start Date: ASAP

Role overview: The school prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. They are committed to providing high-quality education and personalised care to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, ADHD, non-verbal needs, and global developmental delay.
Develop and implement tailored strategies to assist with learning and behavioral challenges.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and review individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster a supportive and empathetic environment that encourages the growth and development of each student.
The Ideal Candidate:

Experience: Previous experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, non-verbal communication, and global developmental delay.
Skills: Strong understanding of SEN and effective support strategies.
Attributes: Genuine passion for working with children with SEN, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of empathy.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in SEN would be advantageous.
