My client is looking for an Acoustics Consultant to join their Manchester office. You will be working within a close knit and friendly team within a powerhouse of a multi disciplinary consultancy offering services across geoenvironmental, ecology and other EIAs.
A degree in acoustics or equivalent level qualifications is essential, previous commercial experience in a consultancy is also needed in this role, as well as working experience of noise monitoring surveys, environmental noise surveys, and regulations such as BS4142 and BS5228. Membership of the Institute of Acoustics is vital to work in this role.
Duties will include:
- Undertaking noise modelling using specialist software.
- Preparing noise and vibration technical reports.
- Working closely with members of the advisory group.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Budget management of tenders, estimate costs and project proposals.
- Business development
- Working on multinational projects
A team orientated acoustics consultant with excellent commercial awareness is ideal for this post. Clear and detailed report writing, resource management skills, and excellent communication skills will be needed to carry out the duties.
