We are delighted to be partnering with an award winning advisory firm with a huge presence in the North East to recruit several key leadership positions into their growing business.

Responsible for their HR team, you will have a strategic and operational role in ensuring we recruit, develop and retain the best people. As part of making us a great place to work, you will help by embedding our Core Values in every interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR. You will also advise the Partners on HR policies, procedures and best practices, as well as driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement, performance and wellbeing.

The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the strategic business plan
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process
  • Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of our excellent team
  • Developing and monitoring a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and rewards excellence
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters diversity, inclusion and innovation
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice, including updating and enforcing policies, contracts and procedures
  • Managing employee relations issues, such as grievances, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
  • Providing guidance and coaching to Partners and employees on HR matters, such as career development, succession planning and organisational change
  • Managing and overseeing the HR budget and reporting on key HR metrics
  • Leading and coordinating HR projects and initiatives, such as employee surveys, training programs and wellness campaigns

Required experience, skills and attributes

The main attributes we look for, but will not be limited to, are:

  • CIPD qualified.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of employment policies and practices.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to align HR objectives with organisational goals and values.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law and regulations and their application.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs.
