The role - Residential Support Worker
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping young boys aged 12 - 16 years to create positive change in their lives. Your empathy, dedication, and commitment will provide them with the guidance they need to build new foundations. You will be a mentor, a role model, and a source of encouragement as they strive to reintegrate into society as responsible and productive individuals.
Responsibilities - Residential Support Worker
- Develop and implement personalised care plans to support the unique needs of each resident.
- Create a safe and respectful environment that fosters personal growth and rehabilitation.
- Offer emotional support and guidance, helping residents understand and address their behaviours.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Organise and participate in group activities to promote social skills, self-esteem, and positive interactions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to track progress and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements - Residential Support Worker
- Genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Patience and resilience to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviours.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a residential setting (desired, not required).
