**Design Researcher** (Contract)
Duration: 6 Months(Possibility for extension)
Location: London/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Role Profile
A leading banking organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced Design Researcher to join their team on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a UX Researcher, User Researcher, or Design Researcher, with expertise in both Generative (Exploratory) and Evaluative research practises.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, leading the research practise and setting clear strategies to help achieve agreed outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth user research to gather insights and uncover user needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Plan, design, and conduct usability tests, interviews, surveys, and other research methods to validate design concepts and solutions.
- Analyse and synthesise research findings to provide actionable insights that inform design decisions and drive improvements.
- Create user personas, user journey maps, and other design artefacts to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including designers, product managers, and developers, to ensure research findings are integrated into the design process.
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and promote the importance of research within the organisation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practises in design research, sharing knowledge and driving innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience specifically as a UX Researcher, User Researcher, or Design Researcher.
- Proven experience in both Generative (Exploratory) and Evaluative research practises.
- Strong collaboration skills, able to engage stakeholders to make research a team sport.
- Good influencing skills and comfortable working closely with stakeholders with strong opinions.
- Experience in different sectors, preferably including financial services.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
