Here at ARM we are recruiting for a full time permanent Citrix Engineer for a global IT services and consultancy client of ours.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Citrix Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Citrix Cloud and a deep understanding of cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. This role requires strong scripting abilities using VBScript, PowerShell, and JavaScript, as well as some C# knowledge for application maintenance. You will be responsible for deploying infrastructure using Terraform, utilizing APIs for operational and reporting purposes, and developing web tools for internal use. Additionally, proficiency in Azure DevOps, GitHub, and operational documentation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Citrix Cloud Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage Citrix Cloud solutions.
- Optimize Citrix environments to ensure high performance and availability.
Cloud Platform Expertise:
- Manage all aspects of Azure, including portal and scripting.
- Utilize Azure EntraID and Azure Landing Zone for secure and efficient cloud operations.
- Oversee all aspects of AWS, including portal management and scripting.
Scripting and Automation:
- Develop and maintain scripts using VBScript, PowerShell, and JavaScript for automation and operational tasks.
- Write and maintain C# code for application maintenance.
- Use Terraform to deploy and manage infrastructure.
API Integration:
- Utilize APIs with scripting languages for operational tasks and reporting.
- Integrate various tools and systems through API connections.
Web Development:
- Develop web-based internal tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement new web-based solutions.
DevOps and Version Control:
- Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management.
- Manage source code using GitHub, ensuring best practices in version control.
Solution Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of solutions to meet operational requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and provide innovative solutions.
Operational Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed operational documentation.
- Ensure all procedures, configurations, and changes are well-documented.
Problem Solving and Leadership:
- Take the lead in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Citrix Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Citrix Cloud management and optimization.
- Extensive experience with Azure and AWS platforms, including portal and scripting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: VBScript, PowerShell, JavaScript.
- Knowledge of C# for application maintenance.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
- Familiarity with Azure EntraID and Azure Landing Zone.
- Proficient in using APIs for operational and reporting purposes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Strong web development skills for internal tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and solution design skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to create comprehensive operational documentation.
