Temporary Sales Ledger Clerk

About the Role

Search are supporting to recruit for a growing business and are seeking a detail-focused Sales Ledger Clerk to their finance team in Castleford on a temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sales ledger or accounts receivable who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Chase outstanding payments and manage aged debt
  • Respond to customer queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records and support month-end processes

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger, accounts receivable or a similar role
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using Sage or a similar accounting software and Excel (admirable)
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines

Salary: Paid hourly equivalent to up to £28,000 depending on experience.
