Cover Supervisor - Salford

We are specifically working with a 'Good' secondary school in Salford looking for a Cover Supervisor, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them helping with ad hoc internal illness, covering key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

As a Cover Supervisor you will need to cover lessons set by other teachers, managing behaviour, and ensuring there is a conducive learning environment. You will have to address questions or concerns from students in the lesson, keeping them focused on progressing through the lesson. You will have to follow the school's policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the students and maintain behaviour. You will have to assist with administrative tasks including calling home and logging behaviour.

This is a school that has been 'Good' for 7 years, shoeing their commitment to providing a high standard of education. Leaders have high expectations of pupils' behaviour and learning. Pupils enjoy positive relationships with each other and feel safe at school. Leaders make sure that all pupils and students can take part in a wide range of clubs and activities that inspire and interest them. For example, pupils perform in drama productions. They enjoy taking part in the lacrosse and mythology clubs.

Hours - 8:30-16:00

Experience, Training and qualifications:

  • Secondary School experience or evidence of working with children
  • Degree or High A-Level in English
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or '4' & above
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
  • Up to date Prevent training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
  • Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)

To be eligible you must have/be:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 2 years.
