A growing engineering company in Rotherham are looking to expand its team, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/ Graduate Project Estimator to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in the planning and execution of projects by accurately estimating the costs, resources, and time required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with Project Estimators to develop skills to read technical drawings, documentation and specifications for bid preparation.
  • Develop an understanding of the process behind accurate pricing of labour, materials, and subcontracts, including third-party contributions.
  • Become efficient in providing early-stage project costing plans.
  • Communicate with clients and suppliers as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of final quotations and tenders including technical details.
  • Aid internal departments with budgets at different stages of projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the engineering/fabrication industry ideally
  • Degree qualified in an engineering field ( ideal )
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings and ability to learn to develop technical fabrication drawings.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and suppliers and assist with technical discussions.
  • Strong time management/prioritisation skills
  • Competent in computing to be able to use estimating software and associated programs.
