The Company was the first in Kent to take on the Ford Motor Company franchise in 1911 and then sell and distribute the complete range of Ford cars, trucks and agricultural machinery.

Today it is the only privately owned company in the UK that still distributes this variety of products, albeit now with different manufacturers including Ford, Iveco, New Holland, Case IH and JCB.

We are currently seeking an efficient Technical Administrator & Controller to join our team.

Role Overview

This is an interesting and diverse position where every day is different.

The role would suit an administrator who likes to be busy and has some knowledge of the motor trade and vehicles. The applicant should be equally comfortable dealing with workshop staff and customers.

The applicant must have good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the workshop and reception to ensure the safe, efficient and smooth running of the service department.
  • Covering absences in workshop control and reception
  • Producing estimates and ensuring that repair authorisation is obtained
  • Assisting with obtaining pre and post repair order numbers
  • Ensuring compliance with warranty procedures, to include collating pre and post repair reports
  • Auditing inspection and service documentation
  • Supporting reception with technical queries
  • Assisting with the loading of bookings and planned maintenance onto the company systems
  • Supporting the Service Manager and Admin team as required including timing job cards, invoicing, WIP control, recall management and adherence to manufacturer KPIs and targets.
  • Assisting with invoice queries and debt management.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

What we offer

  • This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 plus participation in a Saturday rota.
  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • 22 days holiday plus Bank Holiday entitlement.
