REED Education is seeking an outstanding Primary SEND Teacher for a school we are working in partnership with, whom have an Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP), catering to pupils with autism (ASD). The school offers a vibrant educational environment for talented individuals looking to develop their career. The academy is rated ‘Good' in all aspects by Ofsted and is committed to providing high-quality education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering tailored education to a small class of 6-9 pupils with ASD within our ELP.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants to support the learning and development of each pupil.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Assessing and recording pupils' progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit their needs.
  • Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school's goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary education (KS1 or KS2).
  • Relevant skills, experience, and knowledge in teaching and supporting pupils with ASD/SEND.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and setting high expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Mainstream teaching experience with relevant experience/skills in SEND is also considered.
